Add Contact To Automation Workflow
Overview
Use this action to enroll contacts from your Simon segment into a HubSpot automation workflow. Before enrollment, Simon will create any contacts that don't yet exist in HubSpot and update contact properties for both new and existing contacts, so your workflow can branch on the most recent data.
To get started:
- Create a flow.
- Under Destination, choose the HubSpot channel then the Add Contact To Automation Workflow action.
- Configure the parameters described below.
Configuration Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Automation Workflow | The HubSpot workflow to enroll contacts into. Select from the list of workflows available in your connected HubSpot account. |
| Custom Properties | Optional. Map customer fields from your Simon segment to HubSpot contact properties. Property names must match HubSpot's internal property names exactly (lowercase, with underscores or hyphens). New contacts will be created with these values; existing contacts will be updated before enrollment. |
New contacts and property updatesIf a contact in your Simon segment doesn't yet exist in HubSpot, Simon will create the contact (using the email address as the unique identifier) and apply your Custom Properties before enrolling them in the workflow. For existing contacts, Custom Properties are updated immediately before enrollment so workflow branches and personalization always run against the latest values.
Property name formatProperty names sent to HubSpot must use only letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. Property names that contain other characters will be skipped. If you're not sure of a property's internal name in HubSpot, look it up under Settings > Properties.
